I am writing to demand that you choose a Speaker who genuinely represents the American people, not a figurehead for special interests. Hakeem Jeffries does not represent the American people. His record shows he is beholden to AIPAC, having received over $1.5 million in contributions from pro-Israel PACs. His alignment with foreign lobbying groups, his private meetings with Jared Kushner, and his refusal to support Medicare for All demonstrate that his priorities are not those of working-class Americans. He serves the interests of donors and foreign policy establishments, not the voters who elected this majority. Jarrad Kutchner does not represent the American people either. His record and public positions place him outside the mainstream of American values and priorities. He has not demonstrated the commitment to affordability, accountability, or democratic principles that the American people are demanding from their representatives. The Speakership is a public trust, not a reward for party loyalty or donor appeasement. The American people deserve a leader who will fight for their economic security, hold the executive branch accountable, and prioritize domestic needs over foreign entanglements. We demand that you reject both Jeffries and Kutchner and select a candidate who will actually represent the American people.
