"War is peace. Freedom is slavery. Ignorance is strength." While this is a quote from the novel 1984, it seems to be the motto of this administration. For the last year we've watched this administration twist and lie about the truth, creating wars not ending them; we've witnessed them trample on freedom, ignoring due process and defying court orders; they tell us to look away, not trust the media or witnesses, “The party told you to reject the evidence of your eyes and ears. It was their final, most essential command...”; we've seen them deploy ICE and even the National Guard to DC, LA, Chicago, Portland, and now Minneapolis resulting in unwarranted searches, seizures, arrests, deportations, and deaths. This Orwellian nightmare must stop. The killing of American citizens in military occupied streets is not America. The attempts to silence journalists and hamper free speech is not just a violation of rights protected by the Constitution, but is nothing more than a ploy to control the narrative, and limit the truth from seeing the light.
You know this is what our forefathers fought against. Staying silent isn't just complacency, it's complicity. Masked secret police are not victims. Journalists are not propagandists. Protesters are not insurrectionists or terrorists. There must be accountability for the actions of ICE, its agents and those in charge, including Kristi Noem, Gregory Bovino, Tom Homan and the agents (Jonathan Ross, and the yet to be identified murderer of Alex Pretti) involved in the murders Renee Good and Alex Pretti.
I implore Congress to investigate all ICE operations. Do not stand for ICE or the DOJ investigating itself. Vote against any bill containing funding for ICE. Congress must do everything in its power to protect the Constitutionally given rights of the American people, including protecting free and fair elections. It is clear that these ICE and DOJ operations and tactics are only a smoke screen and precursor to this administration attempting to subvert the midterm elections. "We know that no one ever seizes power with the intention of relinquishing it." "Power is not a means; it is an end." Do not let this, or any, administration take away the constitutionally guaranteed power of the people.
