Published reports today indicate that opposition leader Chuck Schumer has proposed a modest one (1) year extension of ACA subsidies to reopen the government. This is a good compromise and offers something in exchange for supporting the end of the current shutdown. I urge you to support the measure and speak out forcefully for its’ passage. Let’s work together to get this government open for the business of the American people. Thank you for your kind consideration and do write back soon and let me know where you stand on the proposal.
