Deployment of National Guard; Threatening to Arrest Protesters

I am appalled by your deployment of the National Guard this week for the protests against ICE and the upcoming No Kings protests this weekend. The right to peacefully assemble granted by the first amendment in the Bill of Rights stands and as it is federal it supersedes your actions. You cannot declare the protests unlawful simply because they do not align with the views held and expressed by the Trump administration and the political party he and you both are members of. You also cannot declare the protests violent until if or when violence occurs. This is not you being proactive, this is you continuing the trend of fascist leadership that keeps being demonstrated again and again as of late. Rescind the order or resign in disgrace; you have shown during your regime that you do not and will not act in the interests of the people you govern.
