URGENT CONCERNS: Regarding President Psychological Fitness and National Security I am writing to you today as a CONCERNED and WORRIED constituent to express my critical reservations regarding the psychological profile of President Donald J. Trump. Specifically, I am concerned that the President exhibits traits consistent with what psychologists term "malignant narcissism"—a combination of narcissism, aggression, antisocial behavior, and sadism. While I understand that a formal diagnosis cannot be made from a distance, the observable patterns of behavior in the Executive Branch have significant implications for the safety of our nation and the stability of the world. I believe it is the duty of Congress to consider how these specific traits may compromise the decision-making process in the following ways: Risk of Impulsive Conflict: A leader driven by a need for constant ego-validation and personal dominance may initiate or escalate military conflicts based on personal grievances or perceived slights rather than objective national security interests. Erosion of Democratic Norms: The antisocial component of this profile often manifests as a profound disregard for the rule of law and the system of checks and balances. I am concerned that this leads to a centralization of power that weakens our institutions. Devaluation of Human Cost: The lack of empathy associated with these traits is particularly dangerous when the Commander-in-Chief holds the authority to deploy armed forces or authorize the use of nuclear weapons. Decisions of such magnitude require a leader who fully weighs the human life at stake. Susceptibility to Foreign Manipulation: There is a strategic risk that adversaries may exploit these personality traits—specifically a high susceptibility to flattery and a paranoid worldview—to manipulate American foreign policy to our detriment. As my representative, I urge you to uphold your constitutional "guardrail" function. I ask that you support rigorous oversight through the House Committees on National Security and Foreign Affairs, and ensure that the War Powers Resolution and the power of the purse are strictly enforced to prevent any unchecked or impulsive military actions. Our democracy depends on the stability and fitness of those in the highest offices. As you should recall, I have expressed concerns about this previous, and it's obvious no one took my concerns seriously. I look forward to hearing how your office intends to address these concerns regarding executive accountability.
