I am writing to you as a deeply concerned constituent who is watching the direction of our country with growing alarm and frustration.
What is happening in the United States right now is not normal, and it is not acceptable. We are seeing the erosion of fundamental rights, the targeting of vulnerable communities, and rhetoric that disguises harm behind the language of faith and patriotism. Using Christianity to justify misogyny, exclusion, or control over women’s bodies is not only offensive—it is a betrayal of the very principles of compassion, dignity, and justice that faith is supposed to represent.
At the same time, we are engaging in conflicts that lack clear justification, putting lives at risk without transparency or accountability. We are witnessing policies and actions that harm immigrants, strip rights from women, and create an environment where Americans no longer feel safe or protected in their own communities.
This is not the country I believe in, and it is not the country I want for my children.
I am asking you—clearly and urgently—to do your job. Stand up for the Constitution. Defend the rights of all people, not just those who align with a particular ideology. Push back against extremism, against unlawful or unethical actions, and against leadership that prioritizes power over people.
History will remember where you stood in this moment.
Please act with courage, integrity, and a commitment to the people you represent. We need leadership that protects—not divides—this nation.
