Senator Rick Scott is constantly mentioning “Communist China” in his emails, but he’s failed to address the real problem that Trump is causing relative to China. China has focused on renewables and is surpassing the US. No one actually thinks fossil fuels are going to make a comeback or are a long term investment. Yet, Trump had been canceling investments in renewable energy. This is hurting our competitiveness. This is killing American jobs. This is making our grid less stable while energy needs increase. It’s dumb. It’s also helping China. So if republicans really care about neutralizing China, fighting against Trump’s shortsighted cancellation of renewable energy projects would be an actual way to do it. It would also help fight against climate change, dirty air and water, and be a boon for the American middle class, but I know you don’t care about that.
