I am writing to express my profound alarm regarding President Trump’s recent declaration that an entire civilization "will die tonight." This explicit threat of genocide is not only a violation of international law but a clear indicator that the President is no longer capable of discharging the duties of his office with the necessary judgment or stability.
A leader who openly contemplates the mass annihilation of millions of civilians demonstrates a fundamental detachment from the constitutional and moral obligations of the Presidency. Such erratic and dangerous rhetoric puts the lives of millions at risk and jeopardizes the security of the United States and the world.
I urge you to immediately call upon the Vice President and the Cabinet to invoke Section 4 of the 25th Amendment. For the safety of our nation and humanity, we cannot leave the powers of the Presidency and the control of our military in the hands of someone displaying this level of instability.
The time to act is now, before rhetoric becomes an irreversible catastrophe.
