As a Wisconsin constituent, I am calling for accountability from Senator Ron Johnson due to a pattern of actions that have undermined public trust, endangered community well‑being, and weakened democratic norms. His repeated promotion of misinformation during the COVID‑19 pandemic contributed to confusion at a time when Wisconsinites needed clarity, evidence‑based guidance, and responsible leadership. Public health is a matter of safety, and elected officials must communicate truthfully when lives are at stake. I am also deeply concerned about his involvement in events surrounding January 6, including reports that his office attempted to deliver alternate electors to the Vice President. These actions threatened the integrity of a lawful election and violated the democratic principles that protect our nation. Additionally, Senator Johnson has consistently dismissed environmental risks, including concerns about climate change and water quality protections that directly affect Wisconsin families. Our state’s natural resources are essential to our health and economy, and leadership must respect science and safeguard the environment. Taken together, these choices appear aligned with efforts to support President Trump, even when those actions conflicted with evidence, public safety, or democratic norms. This pattern has harmed Wisconsin residents, damaged public trust, and raised serious questions about Senator Johnson’s commitment to responsible governance. For these reasons, I am urging Senator Johnson to resign so Wisconsin can be represented with integrity, honesty, and a commitment to protecting both our democracy and the well‑being of our communities.
