Investigate Republican Efforts to Suppress Military and Family Voting Rights

To: Rep. Elfreth, Sen. Alsobrooks, Sen. Van Hollen

From: A verified voter in Arnold, MD

September 2

Launch a formal investigation into whether the Trump administration and Republican officials are deliberately suppressing voting access for active-duty military members and their families. These are people who serve this country at enormous personal sacrifice, and if there is any coordinated effort to limit their ability to cast a ballot, that is not a partisan issue — it is a constitutional crisis. Military families face unique voting barriers already: frequent relocations, overseas deployments, and tight absentee ballot deadlines. Any policy or administrative action that compounds those barriers deserves immediate scrutiny. I want to know who gave the orders, what specific rules or procedures were changed, and when those changes took effect. The people defending this democracy deserve to participate in it. Hold hearings, demand documents, and make the findings public. This cannot wait.
