I am writing you as a taxpayer and a constituent to beg you to stand up for the constitution and the rule of law. President Trump's administration has refused to obey lawful orders from federal courts. In our constitutional order the separation of powers establishes limits for every branch of government. Since 1803, when Marbury v. Madiaon established the principle of judicial reviw, federal courts have served as a check on the limits of presidential power and Congressional power. Our federal judges do not make a lot of money. They devote themselves to supporting the rule of law. Right now President Trump and his administrative lackeys are in open defiance of legitimate restraining orders and injunctions. They are violating the law. Though Trump has been ordered to reinstate federal employees, he has refused to do so. Though Trump was ordered to pause on the illegal deportation of Venezuelan residents, he still deported them. Though Trump has been ordered to release funds appropriated by Congress, he has refused to do so. And more! Courts are ordering Trump to stop actions or to act and he REFUSES to FOLLOW the orders of federal judges! This violates the rule of law. He is violating the Impoundment Act of 1974. This also means that President Trump is violating his sacred oath to uphold the constitution and protect the rule of law. This has to stop. I demand you do your job and stand up to Trump and for the Constitution by holding hearings and starting articles of impeachment. Frankly I am reeling. I would never believe that Republicans and Democrata would stand by and watch such a blatant disregard for the constitution and the rule of law. And I am shocked that my Congressmen are willing to let someone disregard the US Constitution and infringe upon Congressional and judicial authority. This is outrageous. President Trump must be impeached. Whether you agree with him or not, violating judicial orders is a serious defiance of our norms and our constitutional order. Please stop this. Our democratic order depends upon your willingness to stand up and bravely defend the constitution. I understand everyone is scared. But please. Our constitutional order cannot protect itself. We need you, our Congressmen, to stand up for the rule of law and IMPEACH TRUMP. We are in a Constitutional crisis. Will you defend democracy? I fully expect a response to let me know what you intend to do to protect our constitutional order.
