After a recent school shooting and assassination and assassination attempts of state law makers and their spouses in Minnesota, an assassination in Utah and another university shooting today, and numerous shootings at K-12 schools and colleges and universities, when will it end? We cannot stand for gun violence. We need to protect our country’s children, our country’s freedom of speech, our country’s people. As a mother, educator, and constituent, I URGE you to protect our state and country by advancing legislation that: - Limits access to firearms for individuals who pose a danger (mental health evaluations, history of violence, etc) - Limits or eliminates access to automatic and semiautomatic guns - Establishes safe storage laws that hold adults accountable when children gain access to guns. We can and should do better. Lives are being lost daily because of your refusal to act. You must do better… vote for your constituents and your children’s lives because we and they matter!!!
