Investigate ICE's due process violations at Bluebonnet Detention Facility

I'm calling on Congress to do their job and provide oversight into the alarming treatment of Venezuelan migrants at the Bluebonnet Detention Facility in Texas, which raises grave concerns about due process violations and human rights abuses. ICE alleges these individuals are gang members subject to deportation under the 1798 Alien Enemies Act, despite a lack of evidence and criminal records. Denied access to legal counsel and threatened with transfer to El Salvador's notorious CECOT prison, these detainees face unjustified punishment without trial. It is imperative that we uphold the principles of justice and human dignity for all people within our borders, regardless of immigration status. Thorough investigations must be conducted into ICE's unsubstantiated claims and the conditions at Bluebonnet. Appropriate disciplinary actions should follow any confirmed abuses of power or deprivations of due process rights. The American people deserve full transparency and accountability surrounding these disturbing developments that undermine our nation's commitment to civil liberties. Comprehensive reforms are needed to ensure the humane and lawful treatment of migrants in custody.
