I think it’s anti-American and anti-democratic that you voted for a bill that unfairly gerrymanders our state to hand another congressional seat to your party. Republicans make up 30 percent of the electorate of this state. Democrats make up 32 percent, and independents make up 38 percent. Republicans already have an unfair advantage with the current gerrymandered maps. Over 12,000 comments were received from the public on this issue. Only three were in favor of the gerrymandering. The GOP must realize its policies are so unpopular that it has to cheat and rig the system to win more seats. I urge you to honor your oath to defend the constitution and to work for all of your constituents regardless of political party.
