Americans Deserve Representation, Not Dismissal

To: Sen. Lankford, Rep. Cole, Sen. Armstrong

From: A constituent in Norman, OK

October 19

Oklahoma Representatives, Enough is enough. Stop dismissing legitimate concerns as "Trump Derangement Syndrome." Stop treating criticism of this administration as an attack that must be deflected rather than an opportunity to examine what is going wrong. Stand up and take responsibility. You are a United States Congressperson You were elected to serve the American people, not protect Donald Trump from accountability. Your job is not to defend every decision your party makes. Your job is to uphold the Constitution, exercise independent judgment, and represent the people who entrusted you with that responsibility. Americans are not demanding perfection. We are demanding leadership, integrity, accountability, and the basic courage to acknowledge when something is wrong—even when the person responsible belongs to your own political party. We are not deranged. We are paying attention. We are exhausted. And we are demanding that our elected representatives start doing their jobs. Stop telling Americans that their anger is the problem when the problems they are angry about remain unaddressed. Take responsibility. Hold this administration accountable. And start putting the American people before political loyalty.
