Humanitarian Risks Of Prolonged Conflict Without Oversight

To: Rep. Rutherford, Sen. Moody, Sen. Scott

From: A verified voter in Saint Augustine, FL

March 10

We're nine days into an escalating war with Iran, and you cannot remain on the sidelines. The strike on the Shajareh Tayyebeh girls’ primary school in Minab was devastating - more than 160 people were killed, most of them children. I understand a U.S. Tomahawk missile struck a military compound nearby at the same time? Our officials have acknowledged the incident is under investigation, and international organizations have called for a full accounting of what occurred. If confirmed, this demands transparency and accountability. The highest standards for protecting civilians in armed conflict must be upheld. Congress should act immediately to require transparent reporting on civilian casualties, including the Minab school strike investigation.
