The maga regime and Elon Musk’s DOGE have forced the Social Security Administration offices to make staffing cuts and freeze funding. They have made local Social Security offices inaccessible and, in many cases, have prevented checks from being delivered on time. A promise was made to the American people, and we entrusted our earnings to the SSA. How we’re being treated is wrong. Our federal government should promote the common good for all, not willfully cause harm. For 90 years, Social Security has been a proven program to reduce poverty in old age. Why would Congress or the Administration want to do anything to disrupt economic stability for seniors? In the latest budget, the greedy interests of billionaires were prioritized over hardworking people. Don’t let this happen again with future Social Security legislation! One way to make sure the program works for the long haul is to remove the limits on how much the ultra-wealthy contribute. When they pay their fair share to support Social Security, we'll have what we need to keep seniors, retirees, and others economically stable. Commit to protect and preserve Social Security, a program that nearly every worker in this country pays into — regardless of their immigration status!
