I’m calling on you to condemn the nation of Israel for their recent kidnapping of peaceful Americans, and activists from 45 other countries, who are attempting to breach the naval blockade of Gaza. The International Criminal Court has ruled that any attempt to hinder or any hinderance of humanitarian aid to Gaza is a direct violation of international law. Hours ago, Israeli military vessels kidnapped American citizens in international waters while attempting to deliver humanitarian aid to Gaza. These actions mean that Israel has violated international and maritime law by kidnapping American citizens in international waters. Israel has also violated the ruling of the International Criminal Court by attempting to hinder the Global Sumud Flotilla that was delivering humanitarian aid to Gaza. These acts are crimes against humanity, and demonstrate that Israel does not respect the inalienable rights of Americans, or human beings in general. I ask that you do the following: 1) call for the United States to support the implementation of an international humanitarian corridor in Gaza, managed by the United Nations, to prevent Israel’s use of starvation and famine as a war tactic; 2) call for the immediate release of the Global Sumud Flotilla activists that have been kidnapped by Israel; 3) support more direct and immediate humanitarian aid to genocide victims in Gaza; 4) call for the immediate cessation of hostilities against the citizens of Palestine by the state of Israel; and 5) vote to block all monetary funds or military aid from being supplied to the state of Israel until they have ceased their participation in genocide.
