For the period of December 17, 2025 to January 20, 2026, my National Grid bill jumped nearly $300 from $185.36 to $480.94. This is with no major change in usage, other than using LESS energy due to fewer people in my house. This is tantamount to extortion. I'm worried about how I will pay this bill, and I make nearly $140,000 per year as a single parent. I can't even imagine what my fellow New Yorkers are thinking right now. Energy prices need to be addressed immediately.
