Published reports indicate the Justice Department has launched an inquiry and seeks documents from the Federal Reserve Bank. I am today asking that the United States Senate launch an inquiry into the Justice Department. The Fed is an independent banking organization organized to set national monetary policy. There is no credible basis for any sort of criminal inquiry at the Fed, full stop. Please let me know your position on the inquiry and write back soon.
