I am writing to you today riding the high of last night's victories. I am so proud of the voters for coming out in full force to rebuke fascism and the hateful MAGA agenda. However, my optimism is tempered by the general failures of the Democratic Party over the last decade. Trying to "reach across party lines" and maintain neutrality is exactly what put Donald Trump in power, and has given the GOP free reign to terrorize us since 2016. I am writing to urge you to NOT give Chuck Schumer and Hakeem Jeffries the positions of power within the house and senate. They have proven time and time again that the strongest action they're willing to take is a mildly upset tweet, for free or angering their corporate donors or the Israeli lobbies that line their pockets. Please do not let them fail to protect us anymore. We need a speaker who actually supports the people.
