The United States must maintain its membership and active role in NATO for the security and stability of the transatlantic alliance. NATO has been a cornerstone of collective defense and deterrence against aggression for over 70 years. Withdrawing would undermine our vital national interests and embolden adversaries like Russia who seek to divide the Western alliance. NATO contributes to global peace through crisis management, cooperative security, and democratic values shared by its members. Pulling out would signal a concerning retreat from America's leadership on the world stage. For our own security as well as that of our allies, the U.S. should reaffirm its commitment to this indispensable alliance.
