Keep mRNA legal

To: Gov. Walz, Sen. Seeberger, Rep. Johnson

From: A constituent in Lake Elmo, MN

May 1

The proposed legislation to designate mRNA vaccines as bioweapons and prohibit their use is an alarming overreach that threatens public health. mRNA technology has revolutionized medicine, allowing for rapid development of life-saving vaccines against deadly diseases like COVID-19. Countless lives have been saved by widespread mRNA vaccine distribution. This bill recklessly ignores scientific consensus on the safety and efficacy of these vaccines. Rather than criminalize a pivotal medical advancement, we should promote policies rooted in evidence that safeguard public welfare. I urge reconsideration of this misguided proposal that endangers our ability to swiftly respond to future pandemics and viral threats. Protecting Minnesotans must take precedence over unsubstantiated fears about mRNA vaccines.
