I am writing to express my disgust and dismay to learn that the Pentagon plans to livestream the execution of Nidal Hasan by firing squad. This is sickening, depraved and inhumane. The United States has no moral standing in the world. I am calling upon you as my elected representative in Congress to use your power and influence to prevent the Department of Defense from carrying out this plan to livestream an execution over the internet. Please use your legislative or oversight powers to push back against the stated plan. Also use your platform and influence to shine a light on this depravity and apply public pressure to the Trump Administration to retract this plan.
