I am writing to you in fury and absolute opposition to any military action against Iran. I am appalled by the direction our government is taking, and I demand that you use every tool at your disposal to prevent this catastrophic mistake. A war with Iran would be a devastating disaster—for our military personnel, for American taxpayers, for the Iranian people, and for global stability. We have been down this road before. We know how it ends: with thousands of American lives lost, trillions of dollars wasted, and decades of regional destabilization. Yet here we are again, seemingly prepared to repeat the same destructive patterns. I am furious that our government continues to pursue military solutions when diplomatic alternatives exist. War should be a last resort, used only when our nation's survival is directly threatened—and Iran poses no such existential threat. Instead, I see sabre-rattling, war rhetoric, and dangerous escalation driving us toward unnecessary conflict. This would be an act of aggression, not self-defense. The consequences would be: • Countless American soldiers killed and wounded • Enormous loss of civilian life in Iran • Trillions of dollars spent on destruction instead of infrastructure, healthcare, and education at home • Regional instability and the rise of extremism • Damage to America's credibility and standing in the world • Economic chaos, including skyrocketing energy prices I am beyond frustrated that my representative would even consider supporting such madness. This is not strength—it is recklessness. True strength lies in diplomacy, restraint, and choosing peace over war. I am demanding that you: 1. Vote against ANY military authorization or action against Iran 2. Publicly oppose any military escalation 3. Support diplomatic solutions and negotiations 4. Defend the War Powers Resolution and the constitutional requirement that Congress declares war Your job is to represent me and the American people, not to rubber-stamp military adventures. The American people are tired of endless wars. We are tired of watching our sons and daughters come home in body bags. We are tired of spending money on weapons when we should be investing in our own communities. If you vote for war with Iran, you will be on the wrong side of history. You will be responsible for the blood that is shed. And I will remember it. I expect a detailed response explaining your position on military action against Iran. I expect you to take this seriously.
