Allowing this merger to go forward is an antitrust disaster threatening higher prices and fewer choices for Americans. This merger would concentrate enormous media power in the hands of billionaires with direct ties to Trump, endangering press freedom and competition. Congress must exercise oversight authority, make sure antitrust laws are being enforced, protect consumers, demand answers about White House interference in the regulatory process, and use every available tool to stop this deal.
