Support Ukraine's sovereignty, reject territorial concessions to Russia

To: Rep. Patronis, Sen. Scott, Sen. Moody

From: A constituent in Navarre, FL

April 28

While the United States is attempting to broker a peace deal between Ukraine and Russia, the latest proposal involving Ukrainian territorial concessions is unacceptable. Ukraine should not have to surrender land to reach an agreement ending the devastating conflict. Any lasting peace must uphold Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity within its internationally recognized borders. Russia's illegal annexation of Crimea and aggression against Ukraine cannot be rewarded with additional territorial gains. A sustainable ceasefire requires Russia to immediately halt its attacks on Ukrainian cities and people, fully withdraw its forces from occupied areas, and engage in genuine diplomacy without preconditions like land grab demands. Ukraine has an inherent right to self-defense against the unprovoked Russian invasion. Its brave resistance deserves robust international backing until Russia abandons its attempt to redraw borders by force. I urge you to support Ukraine's fight against Russia's unjustified war, reject any proposal requiring Ukrainian territorial concessions, and push for a diplomatic resolution that protects Ukraine's independence and restores its full territorial control. Peace through capitulation rewards the aggressor and undermines global security. Russia must be denied the fruits of its illegal war to uphold the principles of sovereignty and rule of law.
