When a government is plagued by systemic corruption, its international standing inevitably plummets as it loses the trust of the global community. Foreign allies and international organizations view corrupt regimes as unstable, unpredictable, and unreliable partners, which severely weakens the nation's diplomatic leverage and influence in global affairs. Furthermore, corruption degrades a country’s economic reputation; foreign investors flee from markets where the rule of law is compromised by bribery and embezzlement, leading to a sharp decline in foreign direct investment and partnerships with institutions like the World Bank or IMF. Ultimately, a nation known for corruption finds itself sidelined on the world stage, stripped of its soft power, and treated with skepticism rather than respect.
This is the root of our problems with the Trump administration and every single voice in the House or Senate that has enabled it. Bald faced corruption only serves the corrupt. Those who oppose it are heros.
This includes accepting corrupt PAC money, this includes putting lobbiests over citizens. We can see who is corrupt, we can see who is taking corrupt money. We will remember.
