The proposal to have the U.S. take over the Gaza Strip and permanently resettle Palestinians elsewhere raises serious concerns from a humanitarian perspective. Forcibly displacing millions of people would violate international law and human rights principles. We must find a solution that upholds the dignity and rights of all people involved, without resorting to unilateral actions that could destabilize the region further. I urge you to reject any plans for mass deportations or population transfers, and instead prioritize diplomacy, adherence to international law, and a negotiated two-state solution that allows both Israelis and Palestinians to live in peace and security. Lasting peace requires respecting the aspirations of both sides through a just political process based on human rights and self-determination.
