I'm asking you to oppose the confirmation of Senator Markwayne Mullin as Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security. Mullin is a hardline political appointee who will continue this administration's disastrous leadership and keep endangering Americans. Mullin's record is alarming. He co-sponsored the Laken Riley Act and has defended ICE agents even after serious abuses. Most troubling, he stated that U.S. citizen children should be deported if their parents are undocumented. This position is both unconstitutional and cruel. DHS under this administration has repeatedly defied court orders, violated human rights, and wasted taxpayer dollars. Mullin has shown he will be a rubber stamp for these unlawful practices rather than an independent leader who respects the law. We need a DHS Secretary who will follow the Constitution and protect all Americans, not a MAGA warrior who prioritizes political loyalty over the rule of law. Vote no on this confirmation.
