urge speaker johnson wear in rep grijalva

To: Rep. Moore, Sen. Johnson, Sen. Baldwin

From: A constituent in Milwaukee, WI

October 31

I’m writing as your constituent to demand that you publicly and forcefully call on Speaker Mike Johnson to immediately swear in Representative Raúl Grijalva. The people of Arizona’s 7th District have elected him to serve, and delaying his swearing-in is an insult to democracy and to every American who believes their vote should count. This is not a partisan issue — it’s a constitutional one. Every district deserves representation. Every elected official deserves the right to take the oath of office and do the job their constituents chose them to do. So I ask you directly: What is Speaker Johnson waiting for? What is he trying to hide or cover up by keeping an elected representative from being seated? These actions erode public trust and set a dangerous precedent. Please use your position to speak out, demand transparency, and pressure the Speaker to do his job. The integrity of Congress depends on it. Thank you for your attention and for standing up for fairness, accountability, and democracy.
