An Open Letter

To: Sen. Paul, Sen. McConnell

From: A verified voter in Elizabethtown, KY

April 12

Vote NO on the SAVE Act. This is a shameful attack on married women's right to vote. Those of us who changed our names to our husband's name did so as required/expected years ago. Now you want to use that against us to restrict our right to vote. This is reprehensible. This act as passed by the House also attacks the poor snd people of color, not likely to have either passports or original birth certificates. Both of which can cost quite a bit to obtain and thus this is a poll tax. Illegal and unconstitutional. Not that you seem to care what is unconstitutional. I have recently seen that you have recognized the threat to our Constitution posed by this lawless administration. It is time for you to do more than speak out, you must Vote No on this egregious attack on women and the poor right to vote.
