Demand compliance with court orders on Abrego Garcia case

To: Sen. Fetterman, Rep. Perry, Sen. McCormick

From: A constituent in Dover, PA

April 18, 2025

The Trump administration's defiance over Kilmar Abrego Garcia's deportation is inexcusable and undermines the rule of law. Its claims of powerlessness to facilitate his return from El Salvador are dishonest. The federal appeals court rightly condemned the administration's position as "shocking" and a threat to constitutional order. Abrego Garcia deserves due process afforded by U.S. law. Continuing to defy court orders damages our democracy and erodes public trust in the executive branch's commitment to upholding the law. The administration must comply with the court's directive to ensure Abrego Garcia's proper handling had he not been wrongfully deported. Resolving this through appropriate legal channels is vital to preserving judicial authority and averting a constitutional crisis.
