Suspending military aid until substantive progress is made towards a diplomatic solution could be the catalyst needed to push all parties toward a ceasefire and negotiations to address the root causes. Continuing the status quo of arms transfers amid clear human rights violations only perpetuates the cycle of violence. I urge you to support these resolutions as a step towards achieving a just peace through diplomacy rather than further militarization. US policy must prioritize protecting civilian lives over unchecked weapons proliferation.
