Support a Moratorium on Data Centers

To: Assembly Member Bronson, Sen. Brouk

From: A verified voter in Rochester, NY

February 7

I'm asking you to co-sponsor Senate Bill S9144, which would put a 3 year moratorium on building Data Centers in NYS. These behemoth data centers are driving up New Yorkers electric bills and polluting our environment, all while powering "AI" that's used for things like surveillance. It is likely we will see the "AI" bubble burst within those three years. After the bubble bursts these datacenters will have been a waste of resources. Let's not build them in the first place. Please co-sponsor S9144.
