The Laken Riley Act has caused the number of people in ICE detention to skyrocket. And makes it harder for people to win their cases in court. The immigrants ICE arrest don’t necessarily have to have been convicted of a crime - maybe they've only been arrested or charged. As you know, being arrested or charged with a crime is not a determination of guilt. The measure should be repealed.
