This administration's sustained assault on the rights and dignity of transgender Americans is unconscionable. Revoking access to gender-affirming healthcare, prohibiting accurate identity documents, mandating discriminatory policies in federal institutions, and promoting dehumanizing rhetoric fans the flames of violence and marginalization against a vulnerable community. Such cruelty serves no legitimate purpose. This unjustified targeting of law-abiding citizens degrades human rights and betrays American values of equality and inclusion. We must reverse these destructive actions and reaffirm our commitment to protecting all people, regardless of gender identity, from persecution and harm. The wellbeing of our society hinges on upholding justice and compassion for all.
