Dump the bounty on Medicare Advantage plans. The three to five percent bounty paid to Medicare Advantage plan companies is used to sway people to buy the policies. Not used to cover administrative expenses. Offering dental, gym, or grocery money to people, is a short term gain but probably a long term benefit problem for serious issues. Being stuck in a network can extend wait times for specific procedures or treatments, force people to deal with the denial practices of private companies, and force people to travel further for treatment. All of this makes it more likely that someone will end up in the ER which is expensive. The patient doesn’t see all of the bounty. Some of it lines shareholder and corporate pockets. Please consider reducing or removing the bounty.
