BLOCK Robert F. Kennedy’s DISMISSAL of the U.S. Preventive Services Task Force!! WE NEED IT! He’s already severely damaged our infection prevention at hospitals, stripped VIRAL research from our health and disease prevention agencies, DAMAGED the pipeline of vaccines necessary for public health. Now this: The 40-year-old group, whose recommendations provide guidance to doctors, looks at everything from routine breast cancer screening to drugs to prevent HIV infection. Why anyone would do this except to attack accepted medical science and expert advice is criminal. They are INTENTIONALLY KILLING PEOPLE! There is no other rational reason to dismantle health preparedness and services. Their other goal is obviously to damage the Affordable Care Act, as the US PSTF has a role in determining what services will be covered by insurers. This would almost certainly mean a spike in prices for some drugs and more profits for moneyed interests. As news reports state, the task force has faced criticism from some conservatives, but its role in promoting evidence-based preventive care is ESSENTIAL for public health. Over ONE HUNDRED respected medical organizations like the American Medical Association and American Academy of Pediatrics have urged protecting the task force's independence. I urge you to take action to BLOCK any attempts to dissolve this critical panel. IMPEACH AND REMOVE KENNEDY. He and his underlings ‘leading’ HHS are a DANGER TO PUBLIC HEALTH. Thank you.
