Signature Request for SB 59, AB 82, SB 497, AB 1084, and SB 418

To: Gov. Newsom

From: A constituent in West Sacramento, CA

September 28, 2025

As a California resident, I am urging you to sign these five critical Trans Rights bills: + SB 418 (Menjivar) – Ensure Equal Access to Care for All + AB 82 (Ward) – Health Data Privacy and Safety + SB 59 (Wiener) – Transgender Privacy Act + SB 497 (Wiener) – Transgender State of Refuge + AB 1084 (Zbur) – The Transgender Records Act You have shown an embarrassing amount of ignorance over the past year when it comes to transgender individuals and issues, not to mention science in general with your outdated and disproven belief regarding brain development and age. If you do not sign these bills, you will no longer have my vote.
