I am hoping you are equally alarmed that the Secretary of Defense, Vice President Vance, National security advisor Mike Waltz, and Secretary of State Marco Rubio decided to have an unsecured group text chat and invite the editor of the Atlantic to discuss war plans? How do you even explain how that happens? The last thing that I discussed on a group text was what my family was having for dinner. I certainly wouldn’t be openly discussing plans to attack Houthi rebels in Yemen and invite the press! When they were chatting and sending fire emojis and high-giving each other via text, did they even consider the safety and security of our young men and women who have volunteered to protect your freedoms and my freedoms? Anyone could have intercepted those text messages! The Secretary of Defense was texting from a parking lot for heaven’s sake. As a result, our troops could have been killed. There are secure channels that should have been used. And here is the kicker: the President had no idea!!! Some members of Trump’s cabinet and apparently one member of the press were discussing a military strike without the President even being included. All of this is a violation of the Espionage Act. There should be an immediate investigation into this ridiculous affair. The Secretary of Defense and Secretary of State should be removed. Our men and women in arms deserve our protection while they are protecting us. This act of ignorance cannot be ignored. Please act. Thank you
