The U.S. in the person of President Trump and his subordinates is sending massive quantities of weapons to Israel and thereby sustaining a campaign of utter destruction, clearly ethnic cleansing and potentially genocide, against Palestinians in Gaza and elsewhere, and terminating special immigrant status for Afghanis in the U.S., many of whom risked their lives to support U.S. forces in Afghanistan. At the same time, Trump is claiming Afrikaners in South Africa are victims of genocide and providing them special refugee status to enter the U.S., indeed, reportedly, providing Afrikaner immigrants transport to the U.S. The lying and hypocrisy required to hold, even brag about, these contradictory actions simultaneously clearly illustrates either moral or mental bankruptcy, or both. It is the sworn duty of members of Congress to check and balance the Executive Branch. Either stop shirking your duty, or, honestly admit you have no intention of constraining a President who clearly rules only in service to himself, and are yourself thereby joining Trump in breaking the oath of office.
