H.Con. Res 38 / S.J. Res. 104

To: Sen. Scott, Sen. Moody, Rep. Rutherford

From: A verified voter in Saint Augustine, FL

March 4

I"m writing to urge you to act now to oppose war with Iran. No president has the authority to take this country to war alone - Congressional approval must be sought before engaging in hostilities against another country. That did not happen here. This war is unconstitutional, and you need to say so. We need our elected officials to stand with us. This is the moment for you to assert your authority and choose diplomacy over destruction. Iran has already struck back at U.S. bases across the region. This could become a catastrophic and uncontrollable conflict. Please support war powers resolutions to halt these strikes immediately. The majority of the U.S. public opposes war with Iran. I urge you to do all that you can to stop this war and work toward lasting peace.
