Bring home Kilmer Abrego Garcia

To: Sen. Justice, Rep. Moore, Sen. Capito

From: A constituent in Inwood, WV

April 14

The Supreme Court has unanimously ruled that the Trump Administration must facilitate the return of Kilmar Garcia, an American who was illegally deported to El Salvador, upholding a lower court decision. However, the Administration is defying these rulings and refusing to comply. This blatant disregard for the judicial branch undermines the constitutional system of checks and balances. Congress must act decisively to enforce the Court's order and defend the rule of law. A congressional delegation should be sent to El Salvador to locate and retrieve Kilmar Garcia, with or without the Administration's cooperation, as this is likely the most direct and effective way to ensure his rightful return home. Failing to take this decisive action would set a dangerous precedent of the executive branch being able to nullify judicial rulings at will. Upholding the Constitution and protecting American citizens must be the top priority.
