I am writing to express my deep frustration with the continuation of the Trump-era tariffs. These policies are damaging American businesses, raising prices on consumers, and undermining our economy. They serve no strategic purpose other than political posturing, and it is the American people who are paying the price.
We are a democracy, not a monarchy. Economic policy should be made with transparency, accountability, and the consent of the governed—not by unilateral executive action. Congress must act to end these destructive tariffs and reassert its authority over trade policy.
Stop the economic harm. End the tariffs. Uphold our democratic values.
