While framed as rural economic development, the risks are real: 🌲Permanent loss of federal habitat protections 🌲No guarantee the land stays public 🌲Local entities can't absorb management costs 🌲Broad "public purpose" uses with no guaranteed outcomes Kisatchie is Louisiana's only national forest. It supports hunting, fishing, and outdoor recreation, protects watersheds, and is relied upon every day. Keep it that way. I live close to the Kisatchie National Forest and we use it frequently, hiking, fishing, swimming, and wildlife photograph. I was hate to find one day I couldn't go to my favorite spots because it wasn't public anymore. Please help us keep it the way it is.
