Deny Elon Musk access

To: Rep. Mann, Sen. Marshall, Sen. Moran

From: A verified voter in Hays, KS

February 2, 2025

As of the end of January 2025, unelected private citizen Elon Musk and a select cadre of loyalists, who were granted access to the federal payments system by the recently confirmed treasury secretary, Scott Bessent, have engaged in a hostile takeover of the Office of Personnel Management. Musk and his followers have set up private servers connected to the federal locked out career civil servants from the systems they are charged with being responsible for (source: https://www.reuters.com/world/us/musk-aides-lock-government-workers-out-computer-systems-us-agency-sources-say-2025-01-31/ ) The federal payment system is depended on by millions of Americans for Social Security benefits, Medicare benefits, federal salaries, and much, much more. It cannot be overstated how critical it is that Musk and his cronies be denied further access to these and any other government systems that are outside the purview of the “DOGE” executive order issued by the current administration. I and many other constituents are hopeful for a forceful response to the above actions and look forward to your response to our concerns
