Demand to Defund ICE and Reject DHS Funding Without Restrictions
To: Sen. Cruz, Sen. Cornyn
From: A constituent in Saint Hedwig, TX
January 25
Dear Senator,
I am a constituent from St. Hedwig, Texas, and I am writing to express my outrage and firm opposition to any legislation that continues to fund Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) at current levels without meaningful policy restrictions or accountability.
ICE has repeatedly demonstrated a pattern of abuse, lack of oversight, and harm to families and communities. Continuing to fund this agency without reform is a moral failure and a misuse of taxpayer dollars. I do not consent to my tax money supporting practices that undermine human rights, due process, and public trust.
I am demanding that you vote against any DHS funding bill that includes ICE funding without strict limitations, transparency requirements, and enforceable reforms. At minimum, funding should be reduced—not rubber-stamped—until real accountability exists.
Texans are paying attention. Your vote on this issue will be remembered in future elections.
Do not fund ICE as it currently operates.
