Reject harmful budget cuts to vital social programs

To: Sen. Fetterman, Rep. Reschenthaler, Sen. McCormick

From: A verified voter in Crabtree, PA

March 3

This proposed budget resolution from House Republicans poses a grave threat to the well-being of millions of vulnerable Americans. The draconian $2 trillion in cuts to vital social programs like Medicaid are unconscionable and would jeopardize access to essential healthcare for low-income families, children, the elderly, and people with disabilities. Slashing Medicaid's funding to finance an additional $4.5 trillion in tax breaks for the wealthy elite is both morally reprehensible and fiscally irresponsible. Ensuring billionaires can further enrich themselves at the expense of stripping life-saving care from our nation's most disadvantaged citizens is an assault on American values of compassion and human dignity. I implore you to reject this budget resolution and instead fight to protect and strengthen the social safety net that millions rely upon for their very survival.
