Please speak out - and against - the federal grant cuts happening that impact medical research at universities and institutions nationwide. John Hopkins alone is having to reduce staff by 2,000 people because they have lost $800 million in federal grants. I personally have benefited from the research they have done - they helped developed a treatment for an aggressive form of cancer. Without their research and support, I would not have had many options. I have several friends who are benefiting from their life saving research, either for themselves or their children. You want to talk about politics? Fine. But this - health, research, taking care of one another? That’s not political. That’s just being a good human. Please help to restore funding for medical research. The cancer - and other illness - communities would appreciate it, and have respect for you.
